I don't think Trump is
going to become president. But if he does, he’ll be in the running for an
uglier prize.
Two-thirds of the Senate
can vote to impeach a President for "treason, bribery, or high crimes and
misdemeanors."
Trump’s campaign
promises high misdemeanors. Given his current and intended disregard for the
law, he may get around to some crimes. I don’t expect his conduct to change if
he’s elected. Even if you believe his behavior could shift, Trump seems likely to provide enough for a Senate composed of Democrats and worried
Republicans to work with.
Impeachment means very little, it's a black eye, a sad day for our country.. When I look at what Presidents Bush and Obama have done in the last 16 years, I don't think he will be bucking any trends, sadly. Merely my opinion.
ReplyDeleteIf he does he will be in fine company with the last two. Thee peas in a pod.
ReplyDeleteI kind of wonder if this is the plan the Republicans have in place. If they swing him to picking a VP they like, they can always impeach him and let their guy run the show. They'll have plenty of excuses to go after him.
